With the LG G5 just announced at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, speculation is turning towards the 2017 release of the LG G6. With nearly a year until the actual reveal, both consumers and analysts alike are already turning their attention to the 6th generation smartphone. With what is already shaping up to be a handset with superior specs, amazing attention to detail, and everything we’ve come to expect from an LG flagship, there’s no doubt the G6 will aim to impress.
One of the best qualities of previous LG G smartphones it the amazing display quality of the screen itself. LG has made the very best of the Sapphire screen sporting one of the best smartphone resolutions we’ve ever seen, but it sounds like the best is yet to come.
The LG G6 screen is said to be a better Sapphire variant with a defining feature of a true 4K resolution. If true, this would mean we’ll see home theater like quality with a 4096 x 2160 resolution or ultra-high definition at 3840 x 2160. Some believe a 4K smartphone is a bit over-the-top, but Sony made it well apparent that it’s everything but with the Xperia Z5.
